Add a service
- In the UBIQUITY Manager, access the section.
- In the domain (left) pane, select the subdevice.
- In the Service pane on the right, click the circled plus button.

A Create service dialog window opens. Complete all the required fields:
- Name: The subdevice name. Unless renamed by the user, it is equal to the Service type.
- Service type:
- Custom: Executes an application by using a command line
that you enter in the Custom action text box. Note:See Custom service application example to view the SSH via PuTTY application example.Note:If the Service type is set to Custom, the Port and Path settings are not available.
- RDP: (Remote Desktop Protocol) Opens a Microsoft RDP client to the specified IP.
- HTTP: Opens a new browsing window to the specified IP.
- HTTPS: Opens a new browsing window to the specified IP.
- VNC: Provides remote desktop access to subdevices equipped with VNC servers. See VNC connection to subdevices.
- Custom: Executes an application by using a command line
that you enter in the Custom action text box.
- Port: The subdevice port through which the communication is established.
Note:This setting is available if the Service type is set to the RDP, HTTP or HTTPS services.
- Path: The URL path of the web service.
Note:This setting is available only if the Service type is set to the HTTP or HTTPS services.
Once you created a service, you can launch it. See Launch a service.
