Updates
This section describes how to update your Runtime, firmware or the UBIQUITY Tools whenever any newly released updates are available.
All of the UBIQUITY system components can be updated to newer versions when they are available. The latest versions of the Tools and router firmware are made available for download through the UBIQUITY Manager.
Access the
section to download the available updates.You can schedule automatic updates of remote devices registered to a domain or manually update remote devices as needed.
Update statuses and Over-the-air (OTA) updates
The Update Status parameter provides information on the updating process status, its completion and allows you to proceed with any automatic updates, as they become available. Below the Update Status parameter, one of the following statuses may appear:
- Up-to-date: No update is available. Nevertheless, the Update Firmware or Update Runtime button is accessible.
- Available: A more recent version than the one installed is available and ready for installation.
- Scheduled: An updating process is scheduled. If you wish to cancel it, select Cancel. Updates can be scheduled for multiple devices at the same time.
- Running: The updating process is running and the device may not be available for connection.
- Failed: The updating process was not completed successfully.
Automatic updates have the following version identifiers:
- Certified: A certified version compliant with the IEC 62443 standard.
- Stable: A minor update of the released version that includes minor features and stability improvements. Currently supported version in production.
- Beta: An update to the released version that is currently being tested.
Check for any available updates
- Access the UBIQUITY Manager and select Devices view.
- Check the update status of the devices registered to the domain by clicking on the header of the Update Status column. Alternatively, you can search for a specific device by entering its name in the top searching bar.
