Tools

The Tools section in the UBIQUITY Manager allows to access Tools and a Tools download section:

  • USB device configurator
  • Connection settings
  • Device setup

  • Download: This section provides a link to the ASEM Software Downloads web page where the Tools are ready for download (https://ubiquity.asem.it/it/Download/Index).

USB device configurator

This section allows you to create a configuration for a device and export it to a USB memory stick. The configuration is stored in the .json format. You can only use this configuration on a new or factory-restored device. You can use the configuration on the USB device multiple times on devices of the same type.

Select the device you want to create the configuration for.
Tip:
The available devices are Optix Edge and RK2.

The Accounts section is pre-selected. You must create a new password for the administrator. Optionally you can enable a user account and create a password for the account.

In the Interfaces section, configure the Ethernet ports. For more information, see your device user manual.

In the Runtime section, select the Domain registration and provide the device name and select a folder where you want to register your device. The configured device is automatically registered in the domain from which the .json file was generated. In the Runtime section you can configure a connection and local connection.
